Brown Investment Group
Who
Hi! We are Brown University’s largest investment fund - with a current fund of around $300,000 of the school’s endowment that we actively invest in the stock market. We are composed of a selective research committee of 35 students and general body of over 75 students.
What
We both teach and practice the idea of value investing that our club was founded upon through weekly stock pitches and general body meetings. During the semester, we hold education sessions for new members, mini-pitches from each of our sector teams, and Buy/Counterbuy pitches that are voted upon by the research committee to be potentially purchased.
When
We meet weekly on Mondays in Friedman 202 at 8pm.
Learn
Our general body member meetings are open to anyone! We meet from 8-9pm on Mondays in Friedman 202. Meetings are open to students with any level of financial knowledge - so please come and learn more.
Discover
Brown does not have a business school; however, this does not stop many students from working prestigious jobs at firms all over the world. BIG is one step many students take on the path to a career in finance, and we hope you will join as well.
