Our Funds

BIG actively manages two separate funds for the Brown University Endowment: the Core Fund and the Long/Short Fund

Long/Short Fund:

  • Established by a $100,000 donation from Steven A. Cohen, Founder and CEO of Point72, in January 2023

  • Flexible mandate with shorter hold periods

  • First ever student-run, university-endorsed long/short fund

Core Fund:

  • Conceived in 2002 with an initial contribution of $50,000

  • Long-only value-oriented investment philosophy

  • Targets a hold period of 3-5 years


Quantitative Trading:

  • Click here to view a rough draft of our system design

  • Distinct pool of capital from that traded by our Core and L/S funds

  • Will recruit members year-round
